The product looks fantastic and 95% suits my organizations needs.
Using CMap, I would like to have custom fields for specific data that is collected on the listings unique to my application of your product.
Is this on the Feature ToDo List? If not, can it be added as work for hire?
Yes, custom fields are on the to do list but they have been for some time and I can not commit to when and how they will be implemented.
Sorry, but currently, I do not have available capacity to take on an additional projects for hire.
Thanks for your quick answer. If custom fields are not available, is there a global ID for each listing that I can grab using PHP and link to a custom form with the additional data I need to keep?
Another question that arose is the ability to pre-append weblinks so that clicks can be part analytics? Similar to what Google does for links on searches.
It is valuable to be able to show to advertisers the number of click-thrus to support the price of the listing.
Each entry does have an ID. You can hook into the
cn_process_save-entry action with your own custom form and save the extra meta to the connections_meta table. When I have time to implement this myself, that is how I’m going to do it. You would also have to write a couple custom helper functions to retrieve those meta fields.
I hope that helps.
