So I added two custom fields to my Tile Plus template, following all the QuickTips found in this forum. One problem, though. The label doesn’t show.
Obvious guess was to double-check my Snippet and make sure the array ‘show label’ was set to TRUE, and it was.
What code can I add to my card.php template to show the label? Here’s what it looks like right now:
$text = $entry->getMeta( array( 'key' => 'ccb_id', // This should match exactly the field id used when registering the custom field. 'single' => TRUE // Do not change this. ) ); if ( ! empty( $text ) ) echo '' . esc_html( $text ) . ''; ?>
That label option is only for displaying the label in the custom field metabox. It is up to you to add the label to the template if you want one.
For example, change this line:
if ( ! empty( $text ) ) echo '' . esc_html( $text ) . ''; ?>
if ( ! empty( $text ) ) echo 'My Custom FieldLabel: ' . esc_html( $text ) . ''; ?>
Hope that help!
Thanks Steve, works perfectly!
