ParticipantClient refreshes their connections database a few times each week by deleting all their connections, then re-importing an updated CSV.
In an effort to save this client a considerable amount of time, is there a way to automap a specific set of column header names, as how it works with Outlook?
Modifying source files will be fine, since I’ve already modified a few of them to accommodate custom fields.
Thanks for your time!

Yes, If you go to your Purchase History and view the purchase details of the transaction where you purchased the CSV Import, you can download an Excel file. The many of the header names in this file will automap to fields in Connections. Just use the same header names in your source CSV file if possible.

ParticipantHi Steven,
Thanks for your reply, but I’m not seeing an Excel file in the listing of available files… See attached screen shot.
I purchased the complete Pack, is it included with that?
Cheers!

Ahhh, sorry about that. I never added the Excel to the Pro Pack downloads. It is all fixed now, you’ll see it in the list of available downloads now.

ParticipantThanks for that Steven, I see it now.
That said though, is there a way for the automapper to accept client defined header values?
They’re exporting their CSV file from their master Access database, and renaming their existing fields is not feasible for this application.

Sorry, no, there is not. The only solution would be to edit the class.options.php file in the connections-csv plugin folder.
Search for $autoMapOutlook.
After that you will see a long list of values.
On the left, change those to match the Access field headers and on the right change those to match the Connections field ids. All the field ids currently supported by CSV import can be found right above in the $cnFields on the left hand side values.
Hope that helps.

ParticipantHi Steven,
This is perfect, thanks kindly! I had tried that earlier but didn’t notice that the cnFields were laid out opposite to that of autoMapOutlook.
Thanks again, much appreciated!
