GuestHi,
I was trying to import a directory with approx 1600 entries.
I used the column-headers excel file to get all the Table headers for mapping. While uploading the CSV (delimited by coma) file, its selecting all the options correctly for mapping, but after clicking MAP button, Progress keep stucking at 0% and not advancing at all.
Kindly guide me where i am getting wrong?

ParticipantI guess that was due to the older version, perhaps.
I checked the recent version and found that i am using the older version of the plugin, Downloaded the recent version and after completely deleting the old IMPORT CSV plugin, installed the new CSV plugin.
And it worked like a charm.
Kindly mark it as resolved.01/30/2014 at 6:18 pm #278728Shoeb Ansari
ParticipantSorry for third consecutive post.
Facing the same problem again.
I tried 10 entries and it went perfect, but when i put 190 entries next time for mapping. It is stuck at “please wait” step, and not completing it even after 45 mins.
My internet speed is 2.5 MBPS, so net connection cant be the problem.Where am i doing it wrong? Kindly guide.

No, definitely not the internet speed. The file has already been uploaded prior the doing the actual mapping.
It sounds like a server resource issue or a malformed CSV file. Could you attach the CSV file as a private reply so I can eliminate that as the issue. If it is not the issue, then it could be a fatal JavaScript error being caused by another plugin or the theme. You can check this by doing another import. When you get to the progress bar screen, hit the F12 key and then click the console tab … oh, do this in Chrome. Let me know if you see any errors being reported.
If the CSV file is not the issue and you do not see any errors in the Console, I will likely require a temp admin account so I can replicate the error myself to debug the issue for you.

ParticipantDear @Steven Zahm,
I have sent the files via Private message.
Kindly have a look at the files and reply.
Thanks.02/02/2014 at 5:18 pm #278947Steven Zahm

I took a look at your file and was able to reproduce the error. There are errors in the CSV file.
First, I recommend removing all unused columns as having them only adds unnecessary processing.
Second, the error is being caused by bad dates in both the anniversary and birthday columns. Make sure they are MM/DD/YYYY.
Lastly, the trail end of the file has a bunch of blank rows then some data in the bio field followed by a bunch more blanks rows with some more data in the bio field.
With those items fix, your file will import.
I did just now add a check in Connections for a proper date so the error doesn’t happen. It is that error which stopped the import.
Hope that helps.

Participantthanks a lot.
I removed the extra columns which were empty and removed the anniversary and birth date columns as well, and it worked like a charm.
It mapped easily, without any problem.
I will correct the date format of the Anniversary and B’dates. Thanks for being there to assist.
