ParticipantHello,
We’ve just updated to the latest version of Connections, CMap and Link. First of all, connections is doing wonders for our clubs, so thanks for your support.
We’re upgrading from quite old versions. On the cards all the links colors are defined by your CSS whereas before they were controlled by our theme. Is this a global change you have made? Any suggestions would be gratefully received.

With cMap 5 and newer, yes, this is a change to allow configuration via the Template Customizer. Text color can be changed using it. Go to the Connections : Templates admin page and click the Customize button. The page will reload with a preview on the right and the Customizer on the left. In the upper left hand of the Customizer click the back arrow and then Click the Style panel. There you can change style elements in cMap. After you make your changes, click the SAve and Publish button. The next update to cMap will bring more color styling options, including the link colors.
Hope that answers your questions thoroughly.

ParticipantIt is the links that we need to update. All links on the website and purple and purple underlined when you hover over them. This was the way it was displayed in cmap before. We’d like the website to remain consisent. How can we change the links?

So, did you try the instructions I gave? Did it not work? It appears to still be using the default settings.

Oh, looking at the site, I see you have added custom CSS:
#cn-cmap .cn-list-row, #cn-cmap .cn-list-row a, #cn-cmap .cn-list-row a:visited, #cn-cmap .cn-list-row-alternate, #cn-cmap .cn-list-row-alternate a, #cn-cmap .cn-list-row-alternate a:visited { color: #7b53a1; }
You can add the !important flag to it, but that will break the Customizer instructions I gave you. So I recommend following my previous instructions, but either way will work fine.

ParticipantHi,
Just to confirm that the customizer doesn’t do links just now, so we can’t use it.
Cheers

It doesn’t do just links, right… but it changes all text, including links. Change it to purple to match your site… the results would be the same as your custom CSS.
