ParticipantPreviously I have had the ability to cross reference using different fields but in the last update this functionality has been removed. Can it be reinstated please?
For example, I have given a tag to a person for say “solar” and I then want to cross reference that with my “country” categories – say “Spain”, to get a targeted list of those that are Spanish and have talked about solar. Previously I could also then do a further cross-reference by typing a search term such as “panels” as well. This was crucial for me.
Many thanks in advance for your help.

There have been no features removed, no settings changes so I’m having trouble identifying what may have changed…
How are your “tagging” an individual? Do you mean assigning them both a “solar” category and a “Spain” category? Did you have something custom built for you or is everything “stock” (no changes).

Ok, so you were somehow using the country field to cross referencing… this was definitely never a stock feature. I see you have purchase the Excerpt template, this allow you to filter by category, not country. It also features the keyword search. Both of these still exist and have not been removed. If this is what you are asking about… perhaps you inadvertently changed templates. Go to the Connections : Template page and activate the Excerpt Template. If it does not show as an option, make sure it has been activated under the Plugins admin page.
I’m still not certain we are on the same page… perhaps if you share links and screenshots with me I will be able to better assist.

Ok, I am beginning to understand the question… no search features have been removed. I just tested this on my dev site.
Filter by Country.
Then searched by category.
And finally searched for a keyword.Perhaps if you give me access to the page, I can see what the issue might be. Please make sure that you are displaying the search result message found on the Connections : Settings admin page under the Display tab.

Ok, I see now. The issue was the page was not set to the directory home page. The search form action has to be explicitly set if not using the directory on a page that is not the directory home page. Explicitly setting this action does change the search behavior.
The home page was set to 24095 (pipeline) I changed it to 22461 (oppedia). This seems like a safe change because you are not using this type of filter on the the pipeline or research pages. If you need it on all pages, there is a way to force it thru code. Let me know, and I’ll give instruction how.
Home that helps!
