GuestHi all, is there a way to display the id numbers of all the entries under Connections: Manage? maybe just after the Name.
I think its only commonsense to display this as it’s an integral part of the shortcode system and clicking on entry to find the ID number not practical.

The entry ID is shown on the Connections : Manage admin page, click the Show Details link. It’ll be in the far right column of details.
Hope that helps.

GuestHI Steven, Thanks for the reply.
I know how to do that, but is there no way to have the entry ID displayed without having to do that, I find it tedious to mouseover and select “Show Details” for all of the entries to see the ID. I would have thought it more logical to have the Entry ID in view.
So either:
Image | ID | Name | Categories | Last Modifiedor
Image | Name | ID | Categories | Last Modified
This would make referencing entries and entry ID’s much faster.
If I use the short code
[connections id='11,1,2,3,10,9,8,14' order_by='id|SPECIFIED']
I also use a plugin called Peter’s Post Notes to keep a track of which entry ID belongs to which Person. If I have to change the ID’s in the shortcode I would like to open another window and browse the names and the ID without having to click on show details.I know a simpler method would be categories but my clients like to have a particular order to the connections listed that’s why I use the shortcode above.

I see, yes, for your usage, that would make it quite a bit quicker. Perhaps I can add an action or filter that would allow you to hook the ID to where you want it. I’ve added it to my feature request tracker.
