ParticipantHello,
Our band community website uses Connections as a business address book and Participants Db as a member database, we are all volunteers and a few of our members also have business listings. Since I loaded both a couple years ago I have been calling the member database the “Member Directory” and The entries in Connections “Business Contacts”. I loaded Link yesterday and saw that the menu item is called “Directory Entry” which will be way to confusing for my group. I went into the plug in and changed “Directory Entry” to “Business Card” in 4 places. Is there any way to change this outside the plugin folder so it does not revert when the plugin gets an update?
Thank You,

Yes, you should be able to use the Say What? plugin.
It’ll add a new Text Changes menu item. Click Add New, enter the string exactly as shown in Connections, enter connections_link [notice the lack of capitalization, that's important!] as the domain and then enter your new text.
The great thing about using this plugin is that it will be update safe and you can use it on any other plugin that has been properly internationalized.
That should do it!

ParticipantHoly cow!!! That is almost better than a powder day! THANK YOU! I had no idea to even search for it.
I had a plug in that I was using very differently than it’s intended use, this plug in solved a big problem I was having with it too.
