ParticipantHi,
I have a few questions on my connections plugin, thanks for your help:- In the directory listings can the default view be edited to just show the bio content automatically, instead of making the viewer click “SHOW BIO”? And along the same lines, I think it’s redundant to show words “Home” “Work Phone” “Website” etc.
-The other issue that is vital is that me must have the capability to control the order in which hotels appear on the hotels page. It cannot be alphabetical; we list them according to current TripAdvisor ratings, and change them periodically according to TripAdvisor.

re: Connections Issues
So, here are no actual issues? Correct?
re: In the directory listings can the default view be edited to just show the bio content automatically, instead of making the viewer click “SHOW BIO”?
Sorry, not this can not be done without editing the PHP template file for cMap. The file to edit is the
card.phpfile found in this folder:
../wp-content/plugins/connections-cmap/If you choose to edit the file, then I recommend reading the template override file tutorial.
re: along the same lines, I think it’s redundant to show words “Home” “Work Phone” “Website” etc.
You can choose to remove the labels if you wish by using the Template Customizer for cMap. Navigate to the Connections : Templates admin page and click the “Customize” button. The page will reload with the Customizer on the left and a preview on the right. Click the back arrow in the upper right of the Customizer and then click the Advanced panel.
Change the Address Format to:
%line1% %line2% %line3% %city% %state% %zipcode% %country%Change the Phone Format to:
%number%Change the Link Format to:
%title%Change the rest as desired and then click the Save and Publish button. You can now exit the Customizer.
Hope that helps!

See the Custom Entry Order extension. That should do it.

ParticipantThanks Steven, one other thing I must have missed – it looks like the google maps is not working properly? http://visitcartersvillega.org/connections/name/hampton-inn/

Looks like it is working correctly. You need to get Google Maps API Keys from Google in order for the maps to display. Here’s a link to the tutorial.

Hope that helps!
