Installed connections on a beta site, and it works. When moving over to a server using php5.5, plugin breaks the site (even if it’s not activated).
Tried installing it new from the plugin store, that breaks the site too.
Well that is really odd because if the plugin is not activated, the code is not even loaded by WordPress… if you can give me a temp admin login and a FTP login, I’ll take a look to see what the issue is. The details can be posted here as a private reply.
When I install it new from the dashboard, it blanks out when I activate.
If I move the folder into plugins, it blanks out before I can login and activate.
The plugin was able to be in the plugins folder, not activated. The issue was your server was exhausting the memory allocated to PHP. It was only 40MB. The solution was to increase this limit. I set it to 128MB and now Connections activated just fine. This really was not a bug in Connections activating other plugins too. It would just have been a matter of having the “right” mix to meet and exceed that limit.
Hope that helps!
