ParticipantQuestion 1
Hi Steve, About a year ago you helped me fix a conflict between the theme Traject and Connections/cMap. There were two conflicts: the justification of text on the cards (fixed); the reduced width of the search and category boxes and on separate lines. On the client site all these were fixed a year ago.
I am running full WordPress/Plugin upgrades for clients and have a test site at http://wordpress.thewebmentor.com/business/
Wordpress is updated. Connections has been upgraded. The latest cMap is uploaded. The business directory page is using a short code:
[raw][connections image='photo' tray_image='logo' tray_image_fallback='none' str_image='No Photo Available' str_tray_image='No Logo Available'][/raw]
There is still a fix needed for the search box and the category box.
I added the following CSS to the theme’s style-default.css
div#cn-cmap form.cn-form select.cn-cat-select {
max-width: 340px;
}div#cn-cmap div.cn-search .btn {
border: 0 none;
display: none;
float: none;
height: 0;
width: 0;
padding: 0;
margin: 0;
overflow: hidden;
position: absolute;
}But this hasn’t fixed the issue.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I would like to get the fixes done on the test site before moving over to the client site for its upgrade at the weekend.
Question 2.
When I go onto the client site and upgrade cMap, do I just delete the cMap folder and reinstall the latest version or should I delete the connection_templates directory with the cMap template?
THANK YOU
PS. My client is a large city chamber. The Connections directory has become a popular lookup for residents searching for services. Small business groups have joined the chamber because of your directory. Awesome work.

Lets do the upgrade before adjusting CSS.
Install the latest cMap as a plugin and activate it.
Go to the Connections : Templates admin page and activate the default template.
Now you should be able to delete the old cMap and after you do, the new one will automagically show up.
Lastly, activate the new cMap.If they are still CSS issues, come back and share a link to your directory and I’ll take a look.
