GuestI have a page that has an interactive map at the top and then a list of people called through Connections by category. Each state in the map links to the entry of the person responsible for that state.
The issue: there are two listings with the same last name, and clicking a state associated with either of them displays both entries.
The Connections shortcode: [connections template='sncprofiles' category_in='23' enable_search='false' enable_category_select='false'] (The template in use is obsolete but changing to the current version of cMap does not make a difference.)
The link URL: http://…page/?cn-s=firstname+lastname&cn-cat=&cn-pg=1#down, where “down” is id of the place on the page where the listings start.
The page URL is http://www.sierranevada.edu/admissions/undergrad/meet-team/. ND is assigned to Kyle Panici & SD to Michael Panici. Taking the last names out of their links by using “http://…page/?cn-s=firstname&cn-cat=&cn-pg=1#down” solves this specific instance, but obviously sets us up for more likely conflicts with other people.
I did not set this up initially, so I’m trying to work my way in backwards. Do I need to specify the first name and last name in a different to require both names to match?11/02/2013 at 10:40 am #272895Steven Zahm
Keymaster@ Susan
This is not actually a conflict. It is the results I would expect.
There is a solution but it will require you to rework it just a bit.
You need to query by the entry slug rather than search by first and last name.
To show just Kyle:
http://www.sierranevada.edu/admissions/undergrad/meet-team/?cn-entry-slug=kyle-panici#downTo show just Michael:
http://www.sierranevada.edu/admissions/undergrad/meet-team/?cn-entry-slug=michael-panici#downYou can find the entry slug in the details sections on the Connections : Manage admin page.
Question, may I show on my showcase page?
