    I just purchased/installed the cmap 5.3.1 template and it works great, except that the email address in my fields is not shown in the output.

    All the email addresses are public and in the template customization I have enabled to show email addresse(s). I have not modified anything else. I can export the email addresses into a csv no problem.

    What else can impact this behavior?

    The site is https://wscc.net/index.php/info-menu/member_clubs/

    @ Andy

    You installed and activated the Contact addon. One of its primary features is to suppress the display of the email to keep it private so the user has to contact the entry thru the contact form.

    If you want to display the email, deactivate the Contact addon.

    Steven,

    disabling the contact add-on did not resolve the issue. I disabled the contact module and cleared the cache just in case. Still no email visible. Any other ideas?

    @ Andy

    Please navigate to the WordPress Plugins admin page and deactivate the Contact plugin. Deactivating the license does not stop it from working, that only disables support and in admin updates.

    Hope this helps!

    ps. Navigate to the WordPress Permalink Settings admin page and change the structure to Postname to remove the index.php from the structure. This makes it compatible with Connections and makes your links more SEO friendly.

    Thank you, that did the trick. And also thanks for the Permalink setting.

    I still don’t really understand what the contact plugin is for. Ideally (and what I hoped for) was looking for a way to click the user name that then is a link to the email address. Maybe I’m looking at it all wrong :(

    Sorry, I do not understand … when the email addresses are displayed, they are links. Here’s a screenshot from your site which shows this.
