ParticipantHello,
Cmap template on SierraCountyNewMexico.info/shopping/ displays as I’d expect on Desktop; clicking business names works as expected too. (linking to, for instance, https://www.sierracountynewmexico.info/shopping/a-z/name/303-gallery/)
But when I shrink the browser window, the business names display in small caps and links on business names do not go to businesses, instead the home page reloads.
(link is missing the /a-z/ part, making it https://www.sierracountynewmexico.info/shopping/name/303-gallery/)The links not working needs fixing for sure. I’d also like to ditch the small-caps.
(History of a-z: site was set up this way years ago, at your suggestion. I can explain further if required, but the short story is “shopping” is a sub-site of a multisite.)
Thanks in advance for your help!

re: when I shrink the browser window, the business names display in small caps and links on business names do not go to businesses, instead the home page reloads.
When I visit the site on a desktop, with varying window sizes, everything seems fine. Same on mobile devices. When I say fine, I mean that the text does not change to all caps and the links continue to function as they did before changing the window size. The window size would not affect the links at all because links are all created the same regardless of the window size or device.
My suggestion… force refresh your browser so the latest files are are downloaded from your site instead of locally cached (possibly old) versions. Also, if you are using any sort of page caching, via a plugin or server config, clear the cache.
Hope this helps, let me know.

ParticipantThank you for the response. You are right! Sorry to have not cleared cache before writing. Many thanks again for your help.

ParticipantAh. I just figured out what the issue was.
The small-caps were showing because I used a shortcode with the template “card.”
I’d set widgets containing short codes such as
[connections template='card' page_limit=350 category=37]
to show only on mobile, underneath single businesses. There was a method to this madness but I’m preparing to delete them all.
Thanks again!

Oh, I see now… I did not scroll down. The Default Card template does use small caps. I can see how this would cause issues. Removing the second instance would be easiest solution.
