GuestWe’ve just discovered that when visiting the directory page at
https://wfca.ca/directory/
menu entries in the News and Workforce dropdowns are being overwritten with directory categories. This happens when no directory category is selected, but seems to reflect a category or categories that were selected earlier.02/28/2018 at 9:56 am #453543Steven Zahm

I can not think of a single reason why this would happen. I guess the first place to start… If you are using any type of page caching, can you please disable it temporarily? I would like to determine if the menu changes in a consistent manner. Right now it always see to the the same menu items with the same categories.
I’ll also need a temp WP admin login and an FTP login. Details can be posted here as a private reply.

GuestHi Steven,
I really wish we’d get an email when there’s activity on this thread, as with most forums. Otherwise i wouldn’t think to bookmark it and check back – which is why i forgot about this until now.
The problem occurs with and without caching. As far as i can tell it always makes the same changes to the menu.
Don’t think i can give you backend access to this site, at least not without some discussion with the client, so maybe i’ll try to debug your code and narrow down the problem.

The forum does indeed send out notifications unless you’ve opted out by unchecking the notify my option before submitting a reply. Another possibility is the notification is being filtered to your spam/junk folder or the supplied email address is invalid (perhaps a typo).
Let me know what your learn!
ps. The client already trusts me per say since they are running my code (Connections), perhaps that will help in your discussion with the client.
