    Changing the settings within Connections to try to load its JavaScript files in the page header rather than the page footer seems to have resolved the issue. The way the theme constructs and renders the page seems to break that somehow which is odd because the files are enqueued the exact same way. The only difference is that the load in footer setting that is enabled.

    Hi Steven,

    just wondering if you could tell me, which of the files in connections you made an update in and what?

    I want to update to the latest plugin version and will need to apply this change again, but have no idea where and what you did.

    Honestly I can not remember. But reviewing this thread, looks like I just enabled a setting in Connections on the Connections : Settings admin page under the Advanced tab to enqueue script in the page header. This setting will remain in place after an update.

    Apologies for a delay in the reply! It seems after an update to bbPress (the forum plugin) I stopped receiving reply notifications. I believe this is fixed now, I hope!

    Before I look further, could you please update Connections to 0.8.12 and cMap to 4.0? I would have but FTP login/password is required.

    Hi Steven

    I have updated both, but it made it worse. I click on show Map and the screen jumps to the top and nothing else, it doesn’t even open up the map section anymore.

    FYI: I had made changes to the name of the labels, that’s why I didn’t want my client to automatically update to cmap plugin. But when I changed the version back to 3, it actually didn’t show me that there is a new version available.

    The update has now caused a different problem:
    The category selector said before “Select Country”, now it’s just empty. I made the same label changes in the new version. Please could you let me know, how I can get it back?

    Worse is alright, easier to fix…

    First, how are you changing the label names, there’s update safe ways of doing this. If you’re editing the plugin files. I suggest not doing that. Which labels did you change and what did you change them to?

    Can you give me the FTP login details, I want to make some changes, so they will be update safe too. Something I can now do that you’re using the latest version of cMap.
