We have a board of trustees page that has view profile links to see more of their bios. It used to work for every entry. Now it only works for 2. I feel like if it was a plugin conflict, it wouldn’t work for any bios. Any help is much appreciated.
The issue is the configuration you are using. Two (or more) [connections] shortcodes on the same page with each limited by category (assumption based on one list being officers and the other members).
When you view a profile, only the first shortcode will be used to render the entry but is being limited by category which the entry may or may not exist in.
You can do what you need but you need to create a second page. Name it “Person” (name can be anything really it does not matter). In the page content use only the
[connections] shortcode with no options. Save the page. Note the page ID that WP assigns it. You can find it in the browser’s address bar.
Now edit your existing directory page. Add the home_id shortcode option to every instance of the shortcode on the page.
After you do this, it’ll work the way you need.
Hope this helps, let me know.
Great! Thanks! They now all have bios again.
Great to hear!
