ParticipantAfter updating to the 8.1 version of Connections I am having a problem with images showing up in only 1 instance of Chrome.
I pull up my site on other computers and browsers and images show up fine. I get this as the link to the image
When I pull it up on Chrome on my main computer that I usually have no problem viewing images I get a broken image pic. Now the funny thing is I reinstalled Chrome and images worked fine. As I sat there working on another tab I saw the images suddenly revert to the broken image!
When I get source of the image in Chrome (only on my computer) I get this:
Not sure why the difference in URL.
I also added a new entry today and again it works fine in Chrome on 2 other computers, but not on my main machine.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

First, on Chrome, you’re viewing the page while zoomed (
CONTROL
++
). This, in Chrome and Firefox this will trigger the HiDPI (Retina) image to load, that second URL for the image. Those are created and cached on demand.Visit the page using IE11:
This error is the cause:
Warning: parse_url(/cn-image?src=http://oakleylfd.com/wp-content/uploads/connections-images/lyndsey-acheson/Lyndsey_Vaughn-4_logo.jpg&cn-entry-slug=lyndsey-acheson&w=450&h=300&zc=2) [function.parse-url]: Unable to parse URL in ../wp-content/plugins/all-in-one-wp-security-and-firewall/classes/wp-security-process-renamed-login-page.php on line 133
It would seem that the All in One Security and Firewall plugin is throwing an error because it can not parse the URL. Because it is throwing this error the streamed image is becoming corrupted resulting in the broken image to be displayed.
If All in One Security and Firewall has an option to disable scanning of URL/s I suggest turning off that feature.

ParticipantHa sure enough as soon as I take zoom to 100% works fine. I will play around with security, but for now will just put my glasses on :)

ParticipantUpdate: It seems that the problem was in the fact that I had changed my wp-admin URL to a custom one. I like that to prevent Brute Force attempts.
Once that was off everything was fine.
Thanks a lot.

Interesting… I’ll have to test to see why because Connections does not use the wp-admin url at all for the images.
