GuestHi,
I’m interested in buying the package but I’m wondering if there’s a way to add a checklist functionally on the profile pages that are searchable.
Example: Real Estate site would list a house and it’s features would include a fireplace, kitchen, bathroom. Instead of the user having to enter those 3 items in each listing they could just check it off on the post. In the search area a visitor could search for house that have any of those three items and the listing would show up.I’m mainly looking to use this product for a resource directory but figured using the example for a house would be more helpful as the concept is the same but the lists would be different.
Thanks in advance,

Well, it is possible, but there is nothing available that is plugin and play it would have to be custom coded to your specifications. This site is an example. Insurance Plan, Group and Specialization are simply top level categories and the options are their children categories.

GuestHi Steven,
That site has exactly what I’m looking for. Of course the categories would be different. How can I get that done for me? How much does it cost?

GuestHi Steven,
On the web site you refer to above, are those features readily available with your plugin or was that all custom? I’m referring to the Find a Therapist drop down list where the user can select / enter information to narrow the results.

When creating this custom extension, I did have the foresight to make the category parents configurable. In theory you could use any set any number of parent categories and their children would show as options in each drop down.
Now the styling, that is pretty much specifically tailored for the site and did take quite a bit of time to do…
That said, if you can deal with the styling as is, the fee would be relatively inexpensive which would include installation and configuration.
Something to consider, since this is not a “stock” extension where there are support updates (with an active support license) so there is a possibility there could be a maintenance fee if it needs to be updated in order to fix it if it should break due to updates to WordPress or Connections.
If you’d like quotes, we’d have to an offline conversation. If you are interested, please contact me via the contact link at the bottom of the page. Please paste a link to this thread in the message so I can relate the two.
Thanks!
