    I’m using this directory to display a list of board members, and I would like them to appear in a certain order – President first, followed by President-Elect, then Secretary, then Treasurer, then ALA Councilor, then members at large. Is this possible?

    Check out the doc page for the order_by shortcode option. Example 2 shows you how to do what you want.
