Hi Steve,
Awesome plugin. I’ve been working with it over the last 2 days and find it very flexible and well coded!

I ended up using the “Family” section for a business purpose – I needed to add multiple members to a single business contact card and was able to do so by utilizing the “Family” section.

My question – could you point me to the correct places to change just the Labels for the Family section? I’ve used CSS to remove the labels from the card, but would like to change the “Family” label in the backend to something else so it’s more intuitive for my users for what we’re using it for.

I did look last night and I believe I found the sections I need to update – but wanted to check with you to make sure I was modifying it correctly.

To change field names. Install the Say What? plugin.

It’ll add a new Text Changes menu item. Click Add New, enter the string exactly as shown in Connections, enter connections [notice the lack of capitalization, that's important!] as the domain and then enter your new text.

For example, to change Family on the Add Entry admin page, you with enter Family as the Original string and Business Contacts (or whatever text you really want) as the New string.

The great thing about using this plugin is that it will be update safe and you can use it on any other plugin that has been properly internationalized.

Bam. That worked great. I did end up having to manually change the label for the Dropdown “Show Families” but otherwise it replaced it everywhere else. Thanks!

Great to hear. Using Show Families as the Original string should have changed that drop down…
