changing text field to drop down

    Hi is there any way to convert the country field to a drop down list or something similar? I would like the ability to have say 10 country options, this would also limit the possibility of spelling errors.

    Sorry, not possible at this time without doing major editing to core PHP files of Connections. Work has been done to move this direction but there is much more to do yet.

    Ok thanks for the fast reply.

    I know the answer is likely no, but could a custom field, or one of the one of the extensions, be modified to act like a dropdown or select field (like what happens in the category form field) or just a list (like what happens in the extensions). Only requirement is that when clicked it filters out all entries by that one field. I would then hide the country field from the form

    Yes, something like that is doable. Although I think that would require just as much work as changing the fields to a select. Either way, I do not have the code available to give you to me this change, sorry.
