The error is in the theme files, not Connections. The file you need to edit is likely the
header.phpfile. This line of code:<script type="text/javascript">jQuery(function($) { $("li.post-item-255").children("a").attr('href', "javascript:void(0)");});</script>Needs to be deleted from before the
<html lang="en-US">and inserted after thewp_head();template tag.07/25/2013 at 1:23 am #265748Carlos Lisboa
ParticipantI’m sorry I realized that I wasn’t paying attention very well…okay I moved the script to the spot you advised and the error went away, but I am still experiencing the drop down fade effect problem. It tends to happen more when I hit the refresh icon rather then clicking on the menu tab. What I am experiencing is the fact that the script seems to not load properly after hitting refresh.
Thanks again…sorry for the delay I was away from the computer for a few days.

I had the opportunity to load your site in IE10 this morning for a few minutes. IE10 was complaining of another javascript error not related to Connections. Load the site in IE10, hit the F12 key, click the Script tab and then click the Console button to the right. I believe the error was an undefined manage on line 595. Or somewhere where abouts. I’d give you more exact details but the site seems very unstable, in the sense that, every time I’ve checked the site after mashing the refresh many time the site just doesn’t load anymore. I’m sure you’re aware of that already though. I wonder if that is the cause. The site just fails to completely load every time. It would make sense, the script for the template is set to load at the bottom of the page. And if it doesn’t load, it can’t be run.

ParticipantWell thanks Steve I’m not sure where to go from here, I kind of understand the unstable thing cause I experienced it myself today while I walked through the steps you suggested. I fixed several of the errors that were coming up. One is a twitter javascript error and there are two that appear on the Officer Down page where I have connections shortcoded. How would I get in to that code to fix that? I believe it was a FORM error and the other was a DIV error. Do these need to be fixed? What would you do in my case reference the unstableness of the template?

Sorry, don’t know what to tell you. The template works every single time I try it on your site no matter what browser I use except IE10 when I was testing it this morning, but that was do to another script error. I’ve tried again in IE8 several times throughout the day and I was only able to refresh the site a few times each before it would no longer load. I really think the template is fine.
I’ll look in the div errors IE10 was reporting to make sure I don’t really have a missing tag somewhere, but that could be due the theme or any number of things unrelated to Connections.

ParticipantSteve after some playing around it appears that the error in the Twitter Widget located in the footer is causing the problem. When I removed the widget everything seemed to work perfectly in connections. I should have looked into that before bothering you here but then again you helped me find it so I truly appreciate your help.
