GuestI am using the directory for businesses. Is there a way to change the labels on the live page. For example, change the label above the address list from “Work” to “Address” or to hide these labels all together? I’m just not sure where in the code or which file I should edit.

Install the Say What? plugin.
It’ll add a new Text Changes menu item. Click Add New, enter the string exactly as shown in Connections, enter connections [notice the lack of capitalization, that's important!] as the domain and then enter your new text.
The great thing about using this plugin is that it will be update safe and you can use it on any other plugin that has been properly internationalized.
If you’ like to edit the code instead, you can find the string in the
class.options.phpfile.Hope that helps.

GuestPlease disregard! I searched a little more and answered my own question. For anyone else who might have the same question, I edited “class.options.php” (includes > settings).
Great plugin!!!

ParticipantHi
I installed the Say What plugin to try and change field names on in the Form extension which I’m using with cMap.
So I entered the string for example State: and want to change it to County: but it didn’t work. I inserted connections as the domain.
Also, the email notification seems to go to the new entry but not to us as administrators.
Can you help?
Many thanks, Nigel

To change field names in Form, you need to use the
connections_formdomain. Also, to not add the trailing colon. You only want to add the actual word(s).cMap [all templates] have their own way of changing text. See this FAQ for more details. All the
str_*options available to cMap can be found on this page.I hope that helps!

ParticipantHi Steven
Thanks that works great. Simple when you know how!
Just one thing – I know its a different subject but I also asked about the email notifications.
It seems to go to the subscriber and gets added to the list as unlisted but no notification to us (email address entered in the “Submission Notice To” field)
Nor is there any “Moderation queue” – it just shows up as “unlisted” in the Manage section.
Just means you’d have to check back every day and this is a volunteer run site:
http://10pbg.co.uk/business-directory
And here is the form: http://10pbg.co.uk/submit-your-business
Thanks again – great product so far, only bought it last week.

Apologies! I overlooked your other question.
Could you explain to me your workflow on taking submissions? Such as, are users logged in when submitted? If they are, what is their role and what capabilities has that role be assigned on the Connections : Roles admin page?

ParticipantHi, thanks for the reply.
I think I’ve solved it – I was logged in when submitting entries manually so I assume that is the issue.
The form only went live yesterday and today, I’ve received notifications of submissions – albeit in spam!
So all good now thank you.

Yes, if you were logged in, you would be entering entries as yourself and you wouldn’t receive email notifications because you would know that an entry was input. That’s the intended logic any way.
Sounds like you just need to whitelist the email so it doesn’t end up in spam. There’s nothing on my side that can be done about that as spam filters are client side processed.
