Are there any category summary templates / plugins that show a list of just the categories and the counts without any of the details until you click into a category? Similar to the Market minus the “card”. Here’s an example of what I mean:

It just shows the categories. Once you click into the category you get the cmap template.

Sorry, no, I do not. That is something they custom coded for their use. The closest thing I currently have available is the Widget Pack which includes a Category Widget that can be placed in the themes sidebar. If you are a large number of categories it may not be a good fit.

I created based on the Smiths Falls Chamber categories page. Feel free to incorporate it; no credit necessary. It could probably be written better but at least it’s a start.

smithsfallschamber.com/chamber-members/ is an implementation of what I have except it’s older code. The code I sent you, and what’s sitting on a local wordpress install, is based on the updates such as using classes and the URL based categories, etc.

I didn’t fully write the code the Smiths Falls chamber used. I did have access to it and cleaned it up quite a bit.

Hopefully it’s something you can use and perhaps even improve upon.

As a note, the plugin portion could be updated to allow the selection of compatible template replacements. As it is right now, it’s hardcoded to the second one which is the actual template.
