GuestOur connections directory functions well and the connections search widget works fine, however the connections category search comes back with no results. The URL for our directory can be found at http://counsellingpsychologists.org/search
As you can see, the widget identifies the number of profiles for each category, but when asked to produce a listing of those profiles in the directory it comes back with no results.

The issue is that the category slug is set to “category”. WordPress thinks your looking for a post category. You’ll have to change this so it doesn’t conflict. This can be changed on the Connections : Settings admin page under advanced. The default is “cat”, not quotes.
After you make that change, it should work fine.

GuestHmm… I have made the changes you recommended but that doesn’t seem to have resolved the issue. Now I am getting the following type of message:
No results for “cat/agency”
Any other ideas?04/02/2013 at 7:36 am #255726Steven Zahm

Can I get a temp admin account so I can take a closer look?

I took a look and as I kind of thought … it the page slug, search. Either one of the other plugins or maybe even the theme is adding custom rewrite rules that effectively looks for that slug and turns it in to a search. These rules happen before the rules for Connections so they run instead. Changing the page slug to something other than search will fix the issue. please understand this is not a Connections bug or issue and there’s not really anything I can do about it. Here are the custom rewrite rules that are being added.
search/(.+)/feed/(feed|rdf|rss|rss2|atom)/?$ index.php?s=$matches[1]&feed=$matches[2] search search/(.+)/(feed|rdf|rss|rss2|atom)/?$ index.php?s=$matches[1]&feed=$matches[2] search search/(.+)/page/?([0-9]{1,})/?$ index.php?s=$matches[1]&paged=$matches[2] search search/(.+)/?$ index.php?s=$matches[1] search
I hope this helps.
