I added a sidebar widget with shortcode [connections enable_category_select=true show_empty_categories=true show_category_count=true].
The widget should display a drop-down menu. It does, but also displays the entire directory.
Please advise how to modify this to only display the dropdown.
Thanks in advance.
Sorry, but I do not follow… I looked at the site and I do not see the widget you are talking about. Have you changed the page since posting the question?
My apologies. The website is under review by the client and I didn’t want the widget to be visible. Here’s another link where you can see the widget. Also, the Connections Simple Search widget displays results in the sidebar versus linking to the appropriate page. Please see: http://188.8.131.52/connections-widget/
Oh, I see now…
Question for you. Does that exact shortcode work fine on a regular page? Specifically, does the category drop down appear?
Now, with that shortcode, the entire directory will be displayed. There is not a way to show just the category drop down in the sidebar which I think is what you are try to accomplish, correct?
