GuestAfter the last update my category links seem to be broken. They return the page “No results.” instead of listing the items in that category. I’ve tried changing templates (I’m using Market but this seems to happen in the default template) and the permalinks settings have not changed.
I’m at a loss for where to go to troubleshoot this.

Another user reported trouble with this as well. I am looking in to it. Can you please sahre a link to your site which has the issue? Also, what is the exact shortcode you are using?
Thanks

I just visited the site … I can’t seem to find any category page reporting no results. Can you point me to a few specific examples?

GuestI had to roll back the update so I didn’t have a broken site running live. Basically any iteration of the direct category permalinks were returning “No results.” For example
(domain)/910/directory/category/breakfast/
Works on the site now, but with the update applies claims there are no results.
It’s working now because I rolled back all the plugin files to a version prior to the update.

To help me resolve this .. could I get a temp admin account? What I’d like to do is put the site in maintenance mode, update Connections so I can knowingly and easily replicate the issue. The issue should be very easy to track down and fix on your site. After I have confirmed the fix, I disable maintenance mode leaving the update and the fix in place. I will then fix my code locally and push out an update that you can safely update.

GuestI really appreciate the offer but that’s not possible right now, I need to schedule the downtime for the site and I can’t do that right now.
This last update that just was pushed, can you tell me what plugins were affected? Was it just the core connection files or did it include the premium template like Market?

No problem, thanks for the consideration. I have resolved the issue. It seems when I added the extra sanitation of the query variables for categories the queries were being wrapped in a second set or quotes which would cause an invalid query. I’ll be pushing version 0.7.9.5 out a little later today. I highly encourage you to update because the fix in version 0.7.9.4 was to close a potential xss security issue.
The only plugin affected is the core Connections plugin, the template and other extensions are unaffected.
Apologies for the trouble!

GuestNo need to apologize, thank you very much for the help and quick response. Sorry I wasn’t able to speed things up for you.

GuestI just applied the 0.7.9.5 update and that fixed my category results bug, thank you very much! I really appreciate your projects and the attention to updates.
