Looks like a plugin conflict. Notice when you select a category the page looks like it is loading twice. Something, a javascript from another plugin, is causing that flicker. My guess is sometimes the width for the category is be calculated right at when the page is “blank” so it is be set at a zero width.
I did notice that JetPack is not working for you. Well at least the Photon module (I think).
I suggest trying the plugin conflict test.
There is a lot of javascript be loaded on the page, so just about anything could be causing the page flicker, maybe even the theme.
Hope this helps, let me know.

Know that we know the cause, let’s see if it is solvable. I notice this flickering actually occurs on every page of your site. So, definitely seems like a bug in the theme and not really a conflict. You pages definitely should not flicker after being loaded.
You might want to ask their support why this flickering occurs. I’ve downloaded the free version to see if I can replicate the flicker on my test sites. I’ll let you know what I find and if there is a settings change that can be applied to remove that flicker.

The good news, I get no flicker at all with the theme freshly installed with all the default options set.
Question.
Did you by chance have the all other plugins deactivated to determine it was a theme conflict? I ask, because, it is very possible that the flicker is a conflict between the theme and another plugin.
I’ll play with the settings to see if I can make the page flicker.

ParticipantHi Steve
Thanks for all this :)
No, i didnt deactivate all the other plugins. I tried instead an other template, the market template, this works good for me. I think i could live with that.
But now i got the same problem like her:
http://connections-pro.com/support/topic/directory-listing-catagory-selction-stacking/Your CSS Code does not work :/
Any ideas?
Thanks! :)

I toyed around with the theme settings. There does not seem to be any option that I can find that would introduce that page load flicker.
I did notice something else on your site…
Can you deactivate the WordPress Popup plugin you are using? That plugin is causing a 403 Forbidden error right at about the time the page flickers.

The issue the other user was having was something different, a minor CSS conflict with the theme. The template you switched to is the Market template and is rendering correctly on your site (the categories are supposed to be in a “sidebar”).
