Regardless of which template I use, the category dropdown has vanished.
Any help would be very much appreciated.09/07/2014 at 10:55 pm #303020Arizona LoweGuest
Also, my images are not loading/appearing :-/
Frustrated. It was working so well.09/08/2014 at 9:27 am #303024
You have the Table Entry Card template activated. This template does not have a category drop down. None of the other free core templates do either. I see you have Excerpt Plus installed, activate this template, it has the category drop down.
The images, apologies about that, seem a bug has made its way thru testing. When a PNG was uploaded for an image, the image size variations and HiDPI (Retina) images are created/saved as JPG/s but the URL for the image is PNG which does not exist. I have found and fixed the bug. A bug fix release will be released shortly … as soon as I’m finished tracking down and fixing a few other bugs.
In the meantime, you could re-upload the images again as JPG/s and they display fine.
Again, apologies for the trouble.09/08/2014 at 2:41 pm #303101
I just noticed that you’re using WordPress Multisite …
This bugfix release I’m working on has extensive changes related to multisite. Would you be will to give me a temp super admin account. I’m like to install this bugfix release for you to ensure you have no further image loading issue.
In case you’re wondering why the image issue … all the code for working with images was rewritten from the ground up, yes from scratch. Why, several reasons. All previous version sof Connections utilized third party script instead of core WP functions. This was done because WordPress had a lousy image handling API at the time when this was added to Connections. This rewrite uses all core WP image API/s. With this rewrite I also added support for responsive images and HiDPI (Retina) image support. Hope that explains it clear enough.09/13/2014 at 10:44 pm #303897Arizona LoweGuestThis reply has been marked as private.09/15/2014 at 10:08 am #304082Arizona LoweParticipant
