GuestCould you tell me how to get the categories appearing on my page?
I have one page on my website using your plug in for a listing.
I’ve set up a number of entries and assigned them to categories, but the listing page only shows the listings themselves.
And I can’t figure out how to get the categories to appear as an option.
With thanks in advance

There are a couple solutions. So I can present you with the right one for you… Could you describe in more details exactly what you would like?
Thanks!

GuestI would like my ‘Local Groups’ page in which the listings sit to show the Categories as a list.
And when a category eg ‘Dance Groups’ is clicked on will open out to show a listing of all the local Dance Groups.

GuestActually that’s not quite what I want, can I explain again.
I would like to be able to click on the ‘Local Groups’ menu option from my Home Page.
And for that to open out into a drop down list, displaying all the categories.
And when one of the categories is selected eg Dance Groups, that shows the list of Dance Groups.
Hope that’s clear, apologies for the correction!

GuestMy preference would be to be able to click on the ‘Local Groups’ Menu on the home page and for a drop down menu to appear of the Categories and when one is selected eg Dance Groups, then the page of listings of dance groups appears.
The alternative would be that on clicking the ‘Local Groups’ menu on the Home page that takes me to another pages with all the categories shown on that page. Clicking on a category there eg Dance Groups opens out the listing.
My preference is the first but i am open to guidance if one works techinically better than the other.
Thanks again for your help.

So, If I read and understood your posts correctly, you wish to add the business categories to the WordPress Menu. Is that correct?
If it is… I suggest the cMap template.
What you can do is use the category filter drop down, change it to the desired category and then copy the link from the browser’s address bar. You would then use that link to add a Custom Link to your site’s menu. You would repeat that process for each category you wish to add to the menu.Hope that helps! Let me know.
