GuestHI I’m trying to set up a members director, that displays the information of members associated with different categories.
I’ve got the main page display 5 categories (5 continents, Africa, Americas, Asia, Europe, Pacific) you then click on one, say Africa, to show just African members but all are showing.
I’ve applied categories to each member and added short code (eg. Africa [connections catergory_in=5]) to each category page relating to its number, but it still displays all categories. Am I missing something?
Apologies for no direct link but the sections is password restricted
Thanks

Two things…
- The correct shortcode would be
[connections catergory_in=5]
. - It is recommended to use the shortcode on a page only once. You can use multiple which may or may not cause issues which will require a slightly more complex configuration. Without being able to see, I can not be certain this would be anything you need to be concerned about. I just wanted to mention it so you would know.
After you make changes to the page, if you are using a page caching plugin, make sure to delete the page cache so you are certain to be viewing the most current version of the page.
Hope this helps. Let me know.

GuestYes shortcode is used only once on each page I’ve obviously got that correct by what you typed, thought I may have it wrong somehow.
Could you advise me on the best way to set up a directory with an index page? Do I need the pro version or another plugin?
Thanks

Opps… copy/paste error in my last reply. The shortcode should be
[connections category=5]
Notice your misspelling of
category
