ParticipantHi there,
Thanks for this great plugin!
I just started playing with it and after countless hours looking at documentation I couldn’t really find anything that explained how:
1. to display the categories
2. how to have the search bar appearWhat am I missing? http://www.collectivelyfree.org/get-active/
- Why is the thumbnail so low-res when I selected the smallest image to be displayed at 80×80 which is what those thumbnails are.
- I don’t want the grid to have the “show profile” bottom portion because none of my photos will link to a profile but rather to an external link. – How can I get rid of that?
Thanks!

re: I just started playing with it and after countless hours looking at documentation I couldn’t really find anything that explained how:

2. how to have the search bar appearWith the Gridder template, these features are off by default as noted on the product page and can easily be turned on.
Here is the link to the docs which gives detailed instructions turn on the search and category filter in Gridder.

Here is the docs which explains how to control the grid image size.

This can be turned off, here’s the instructions to turn off the view profile link.
There’s a lot of good info in the docs for Gridder on this page and answers most questions on how to set it up.
Hope this helps!

ParticipantOh awesome! Thank you so much. I didn’t find that doc before otherwise I wouldn’t have bothered you. Thanks again!

It seems like before when I clicked on the image it would send me to the webpage I attributed the image to go to but now it’s not linking to the desired page. Is there something else I need to do except “assign link to image” like I already have?
And one more question. Is it possible to change all the fonts? In category, biography, etc? So it matches our brand? Thank you so much for the quick reply!

Yes, with most templates, just not Gridder. The click event is dedicated to opening the info panel. There’s not way to have the click event assigned to two different actions.
re: Is it possible to change all the fonts? In category, biography, etc? So it matches our brand?
Sure, but you’d have to use some custom CSS to do so. This should get you started. Add the following to the theme’s custom CSS area:
#cn-gridder span.org.fn.notranslate { font-family: 'league_gothicregular'; font-weight: normal; font-style: normal; } #cn-gridder .cn-gridder-excerpt p { font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", Times, serif; }
You can change the panel color and text color using shortcode options.
Hope this helps!

ParticipantThank you so much, Steven. This was exactly what I needed!

ParticipantSorry, would you be able to add just the font change for the category drop down menu? That one didn’t change.

RE: would you be able to add just the font change for the category drop down menu? That one didn’t change.
This matches the theme:
#cn-list .chosen-container .chosen-results li:before { content: ""; } #cn-list .chosen-container .chosen-results li, #cn-list .chosen-container-single .chosen-single { font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", Times, serif; }
Though there is no visual difference (at least for me) because that will largely depend on the OS and browser.

ParticipantThanks, Steven. I tried that but it does look the same. We don’t really use any times new roman or serif fonts. I tried to sub that with just arial:
<h1>cn-list .chosen-container .chosen-results li:before {</h1>
content: "";
}
<h1>cn-list .chosen-container .chosen-results li,</h1>
<h1>cn-list .chosen-container-single .chosen-single {</h1>
font-family: arial;
}
but that didn’t work either. Any other ideas?

Where did you move the page too? So I can take a look to see why the CSS is not overriding like it should. I get a 404 message when I click on the link you originally gave me.

ParticipantSorry. It’s at http://www.collectivelyfree.org/getactive/
So yes, just wanted to change the type to sans serif and the bullet point is overlapping the type for some reason.
Thanks!
