There are basically three steps. First, install the zip file downloaded as a new plugin. Second, activate it after the installation has completed. Third, go to the Connections : Templates admin page and activate it.
Are you certain you have followed those three steps? Here’s how to verify…
Go to the Plugins admin page. Does the cMap template show as an activated plugin?
If not, you need to install the downloaded zip file as a new plugin and activate it.
If it does, go to the Connections : Templates admin page. Does it show as the active template?
If not, find it in the available templates and click the Activate button.
Now the cMap template will be used to display the directory.
If it is not, then you may have used the template shortcode option, remove that from the shortcode as that setting will override the activate template.
Does that help? Let me know.

I see you haven’t replied, guessing you have this sorted so I’m going to mark this as resolved.
But if you don’t…
I recently helped another user who had a similar issue. They didn’t have the Connections plugin installed. Here’s the instructions for installing Connections. Connections is required for all extension and templates sold here.
Thought I’d mention this because you do not actually say where you could not get the template to show up and O neglected to ask that in my initial reply.
