I think that I can but want to be sure.

What I’d like to do is create a directory that users can manage their listings themselves but the catch is that I need to make their listings be part of an annual subscription. So in order to create the initial listing I’d like for them to fill out a subscription and have to pay $XX. Then I’d like for them to receive an alert when they’re xx days from renewal and pay to renew.

In addition anytime that someone goes and updates their listing I would like for it to “flag” their listing in some way for 7 days indicating that it has been updated.

Do you have any ideas on the best way to accomplish this.

Sorry, but there is no way to manage subscriptions with Connections so it sounds like it will not be a good for for your needs. Other users use member plugin to manage subscriptions, but that would still require manual management of the entry with Connections for delisting cancellations. If you decide to go this route; you would need Link to allow the user to submit and maintain their own entry. As for flagging updated entries; there is nothing built in to do this.
