I have a directory here: http://109.199.101.20/~newpcc/contact/yellow-pages/

I used jQuery to put the title to the left of the name, then used the “order_by” in the shortcode to sort by Title.

However, if I click a letter in the Alphainex, it only targets their name. Is it possible for it to target their title?

If not, is it possible to create a loop for Connections within a custom template (like I would with a custom post type)? With the custom loop, I would imagine I could loop Connections within the specific Connections Category, then sort/filter by the meta field?

No, the character index is keyed to the last name. Now, it is possible to hook in you own index.

You would have to unhook the cn_list_character_index action and register your own.
