ParticipantHi Steven,
Posting here as I’m not sure if its a connections issue or a cmap issue. Upon update to .7.6.1 the page on which I have two shortcodes no longer properly renders the second usage. (No information shows, can not be clicked to open…) Hopefully the attached screenshot will display.
Here is the code that is used on that page:
<code>
<h2><span style=”color: #008000;”><strong>Featured Neighborhood Businesses</strong></span></h2><p>[connections department='Featured' order_by='organization|SORT_ACS' enable_search='true' enable_category_select='true' enable_note='true' enable_bio='true' contact_name_format='%first% %last%' addr_format='%line1% %line2% %city%, %state% %zipcode%' phone_format=%number% email_format= %icon%]</p>
<p> </p>
<h2><span style=”color: #008000;”><strong>More Neighborhood Businesses</strong></span></h2>
<p>[connections order_by='organization|SORT_ACS' enable_pagination=’false’ page_limit='999' enable_search='false' enable_category_select='false' show_alphaindex='false' show_alphahead='true' enable_website_link='true' enable_note='true' enable_bio='true' contact_name_format='%first% %last%' addr_format='%line1% %line2% %city%, %state% %zipcode%' phone_format=%number% email_format= %icon%]</p>
<p> </p>
<hr />
</code>Of note, this exact same code, placed on a page on a different site that has .7.5.1, works as it is supposed to. Both sites have wp 3.5.1, cmap 2.1
Guidance?
Thanks!

It’s an “old” cMap new Connections compatibility issue. cMap needs to be updated so it’ll work correctly with multiple same page use. The new templating system, although designed to be as backward compatible, does fail this use case scenario. For now the solution is to role back Connections to 0.7.5.1. Here’s the link: http://downloads.wordpress.org/plugin/connections.0.7.5.1.zip

ParticipantGot it. Rolled back. Works as intended. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.
I’ll wait on the other sites until you give a green light on the new cmap template.
I need to look around here and read some more on what you are doing with the new templates. Not to change the topic, but are you going to do anything that will be ‘responsive’ in nature on the new designs?
Thanks as always for great support on your products.

I haven’t announced much with the new template system at the moment as I’m working hard to update all the templates. Slim and the new Slim Plus use the new system. I’m just now putting the polish on Excerpt and the new Excerpt Plus. I’ll be releasing the Excerpt update today. Excerpt Plus as soon as I can put together all the related pages.
Responsive, yep, or maybe fluid would be more accurate. The above templates are designed to fit nicely on a smaller screen when used in a responsive theme. Each one has been tested in Twenty Twelve at various screen sizes.

Participantsweet. can’t wait to see what you release. any goal for timing of the release of an updated cmap?
and, not to go off-track yet again (look, squirrel!) :) but did you ever decide to pursue ‘Locate’?

This week, but more likely next week.
squirrel, over there…
Yep, I’m still very much pursuing “Locate”. Every update brings me closer to having the proper foundation in place in order to do it right and doing it the way I have in mind will also path the way to being able to build Android/iPhone apps, but lets not get ahead of ourselves :)
