ParticipantWe’ve been using connections for two years now, never had an issue until now. As admin or subscriber we cannot add a new listing. There is no form displayed for the information at all. I went into settings and updated the license keys that were expired, reset the user roles and still nothing, please help. Existing listings still appear but if I choose edit no fields are displayed to edit.

I tried to login but the user/password is not correct. Could you please verify? Also, please make sure to check the “Set as private reply” option before clicking submit so your do not post the login publically.

I’m sorry is not what I thought it was … it looks like someone has modified an old version of Connections. I do not know if these modifications are cosmetic or something far more extensive/substantial. The admin add/edit page definitely appears broke. How broke, I do not know. The directory on the site’s frontend seems to work fine as well as submitting entries on the site’s frontend seems to work fine so that’s good… maybe, just maybe, that means the changes were not extensive.
My suggestion, get in touch with whomever you had modify Connections and have them make the necessary changes to get the admin add/edit entry page working again since their should familiar with the changes they made. Hopefully they can make the necessary modifications.
I can probably fix it too but this would be outside the scope of normal support since I would be fixing a customized version of Connections. This would entail a service fee. I can provide a quote but I would need FTP access in order to evaluate the extent of the changes and what it would take to fix the issue.

re: If we were to install a whole new connections would we still have this issue? Do you know? Will a new install wipe it and a way to keep the listings?
Sorry, but it is possible for me to know because I do not know to what extent the changes are. If the changes are only cosmetic, then installing an unmodified version of Connections should cause no trouble. But, if there were changes to the way the data was saved then the results would not be good.
You could try creating a clone of you site and installing the unmodified version and see if there are any adverse effects. If there are none, then you know it is safe to update your live site.
Alternatively, for a very reasonable service fee I can evaluate the changes that were made and then advise you on the path forward. If it is as simple as upgrading the the current release there will be no further charges. If it will require additional work, I’ll let you know what needs done and give you a quote to how much it’ll cost to fix. If you are interested in this solution, let me know.
