ParticipantUsing Circled template. Image is larger than size set for template. Cropping is cutting off top of person’s head.
We are leaving a different membership plugin because of awkward cropping and lots of complaints.

ParticipantThis example from the Connections sales page has excellent cropping using Circled.

How do we match this?

ParticipantChanged width to 200, but still the top of her head is cut off:
Image Size
The default size diameter of the image is 100px. This can be adjusted
with the image_width shortcode option. Here is an example shortcode
showing the image diameter being set to 200px.[connections image_width=200]

The cropping is largely affected by the source image. Cropping for images in many such plugins will base the scale/crop on the center of the image. Because, generally portrait shots have the face nicely centered within the image. So, that said, the image you upload, the closer the eyes are to the center the better the crop will be.
Changing the size will not affect the scale crop, it only will make the image smaller/larger.
I do have a free addon which you can try out. It is creatively called Face Detect. Here’s the link:

Be aware applying this is rather server resource intensive. So, I would recommend uploading images where the face is as centered as possible.
Hope this helps!
