ParticipantI’ve poked around the forum for a little while and haven’t found out what’s going on here (if there is one, a link to it is fine with me as an answer). I’ll explain.
Although first, this plugin is super. I’m really glad to have found it. I’m using it for a church website, and it’s perfect. The only thing missing is the ability to send notifications to all members (at least I haven’t found that yet. ;) ).
Ok, so I set up a user in Connections with an email address that wasn’t a user yet. Then I set up a user to use the same email address. When I logged in as that user I see the option to edit my directory listing, but when I click it I get the message “You are not authorized to edit entries. Please contact the admin if you received this message in error.”
When I look at the user in Connections, it says they’re linked properly. I expected to not see the link at all.
Is there a user setting I should set? I didn’t see that in the FAQ. Currently, the users are “Subscribers” by default. Do they need a higher level?
In case these details matter, the listing is public and approved. If there are any other details you’d need, I’ll be happy to provide.
Thanks!

Did you go to the Connections : Roles admin page and give the “Subscriber” role the permission to edit entries?

ParticipantWell that was easy… Thanks, Steven. I didn’t even see the “Roles” option down there!
Rookie mistake!
