ParticipantHi,
We have the widget Upcoming Anniversaries which should show a list of upcoming anniversaries. We’ve set 300 days to look ahead. It shows nothing, but that could very well be because I misunderstand the widget.
We have a membership date for each entry. And we were under the impression that they would then be displayed.
When I change membership into anniversary it is getting displayed.
I can select a category in the widget, but I can’t select a type as far as I see.
Is it possible to show only “membership date” in the anniversary widget?
Kind regards, Age

That is correct, the Anniversary display the upcoming Anniversary dates. Not the other date types. It functions just like the Birthday widget which only displays the upcoming birthdays. For a very long while only the birthday and anniversary dates were supported. This is why there is not a widget available which can display the other date types.
I do see how it would be valuable to have a widget where the type can be selected and can update the Widget pack to include such a widget.
If you would like a more immediate solution, you could make a one word change to the code ( I think ) that would query memberships instead of anniversaries. Let me know.

Keep an eye out for a beta version of the Widget Pack. I’ve added a new widget, just like the Anniversary widget, but allows you to choose the event date type. So you will be able to choose the Membership event date type and list the upcoming membership dates.
Hope this helps! Let me know if it works out well for you.

Thanks for the feedback. I’ll release the update date next week which will have that corrected.

ParticipantHello Steven,
Is it correct I haven’t seen an update yet, or did I miss it?

Sorry, no, I have not push the official release, just the release candidate which I believe you are already using.
I got a little side tracked with some client work and more importantly I’ve been revamping the map support within Connections. Since Google now requires a billing address and valid payment method users have been requesting alternatives such as OpenStreetMap (OSM). I’ve already implemented multiple service provider support for geocoding addresses. That’s already been released. If Google is not setup, it silently defaults to Algolia (an OSM provider).
The next release expands this to the actual maps being displayed. If Google is not setup, it will silently default to showing Wikimedia maps. This update will affect all templates which display maps. Immediate benefits of this update, regardless of the map provider, is that the maps now support multiple pins for entries which have more than one address attached. The maps are also lazy loaded (they only display once the user scrolls them into view). This will speedup page load, a metric used by search engines to rank pages :)
I do apologize for the delay!
