ParticipantSteven,
For some reason if I login as anything less than an Admin, I am unable to access the Connections manager. In other words, lower level users cannot add new members. Yes I did check and update the User Roles.
Would the Connections update have changed permissions?
I tried turning off all the plugins except for Connections and cMap, but no difference.
I am running WordPress 3.5.1
Connections Plugin version = 0.7.7.1
Connections cMap version = 3.0.3Link will be posted privately.
Thanks Jack

Attach a screen capture of the Connections : Roles settings admin page and describe which roles you expect to have which capabilities.

ParticipantThanks for your quick reply.
I have attached the screen capture you requested.(see notes in file)
Essentially, I would think that if I give the ability to Add or Edit an entry to any of the roles, than when the person assigned to that role logs in, they would be able to add or edit an entry. Am I making sense?

You need to grant the “View Admin Menu” capability. Other notes …
Giving the Subscriber role add/edit capabilities means that they will be able to edit any entry and add unlimited number of entries if the “View Admin Menu” and “View Manage” capabilities are granted. I would only grant them add/edit if you’re using Link to allow the subscriber to edit their own entry.
“Add Entry Moderated” is a lesser capability than “Add Entry” you do not need to grant both, just one or the other. Same for the edit entry capabilities.
Hope that helps.

ParticipantYes! That is what I was looking for.
My confusion was with the View Admin Menu giving too much control. Thanks for the clarification!
