ParticipantHi Steven,
I’m having an issue with the advanced search installed at https://www.nmms.org/find-a-physician/
The zip code and radius doesn’t seem to be working correctly. If you search the 88345 zip code (which is Riudoso, NM) the results are showing many different zip codes and the radius doesn’t seem to work at all. I have made sure that Address Zip Code is checked under the Settings>Search tab, but it’s still not returning correct results.

It does seems to be working. Here’s a sample:
I think the issue is that it seems only two (that I was able to find) entries have latitude/longitudes entered with their addresses.
Connections will geocode addresses when there are added but only if the geocoding service provider returns a match for the address.
The geocoding service provider defaults to OpenStreetMaps (OSM) now that Google charges for using is mapping services. Geocoding using OSM is sketchy, at best.
If a Google Map API is added, it will instead default to using Google as it has in the past.
The entries were imported two month ago by CSV import, correct? If it is, that was before the multiple geocoding service provider support was added, so geocoding would have default to Google. It is possible, you did the import prior to having the Google Maps API key setup, that they were blocking requests from your site.
For the entries in the
883451
, edit the entry and hit the Geocode button by their address and then save the results. I suspect they will now be returned as a result. Let me know.10/10/2018 at 6:33 pm #474611Matthew Purdom

ParticipantHi Steven,
I have checked that the Google Maps API is inserted in the Advanced settings, have a CC associated in the Google Account, and have tried a few different addresses to see if I could get geocode to work. It just refreshes the page, and the dropdown above it is greyed out, if that is what is used to choose what map API I want to use. I would like to use Google Maps and get the map showing in the directory entries again if possible. Please let me know if you need a temp login for this.

Still seems to working for me… another sample search:
This is the 87124 from you lst private reply.
When you type in a zipcode, are selecting the result from the autocomplete? Make sure you do.
From the looks of it only two entries have addresses which have been geocoded:
You’ll have to edit the existing entries and geocode them so the lat/lng are saved to the address.
Hope this helps!
