GuestI have arranged the connections SC in a column as a shortcode embedded as shown in the following url infoshield.co.uk/searches this is exactly how I would like initial display. However when an individual entry is selected I would like the dispay of info to be across a full width page to allow the appearance of a full page response which will include bio and images etc. I am not sure how to achieve this and would be grateful for any help. The initial response to a search needs only to list the basic criteria for selected items but individual pages/responses are what the registered users will be paying for and what the can edit when I activate the appropriate extensions. Thanks in advance.

Sorry, but this is not going to work. The closest option would be to use the List widget and the search widget and place them into the theme’s sidebar. But that would not be a complete solution as the List widget is designed to support the display of only a limited number of entries, not paginated like the shortcode.

GuestHi Steven,
I think maybe I did not explain very well. I am using the Divi theme to construct the site and can get almost all I want at the moment. I had added the connections SC into a 1/4 column and styled the display to appear as a narrow list on the left of the page which of course then compressed the detail display. I can get a full page width detail display by placing the SC in a full width module giving the effect and detail I need but then the initial result is full width. I have implemented this as a temporary demo at infoshield.co.uk/searches but wondered if there was a way to keep the narrow initial result with an expanded (wider) view for detail.Regards,

Sorry, no, you will not be able to “split” up the initial results view and the detail view within separate Divi columns.

I’m sorry but I think I may have somehow confused you with my previous answers. I’ll try to rephrase…
It is not possible using the shortcode to split the shortcode output of the result list view and the detail view into separate Divi columns.
