ParticipantI’m having a puzzling experience lately with Connections. I am updating a directory that was created a year or more ago, and left largely untouched until recently. I did periodic updates to the plugin and templates along the way. The problem occurs with the latest version of Connections 0.7.6.4. I’m using Tile Plus, was using v. 2.0.3, but recently updated to 3.0; WP 3.5.1 and a child theme of TwentyTen.
I have been reviewing the directory on the website, seeing that I need to update an entry. When I go to update an entry, which is currently showing an address on the website, as soon as I open that entry in Connections to update it, the address is missing from the entry. If I make any changes (to telephone number etc.) and save it, I now have an entry without an address. I’ve been manually adding the address back in, but it’s getting very tedious.
Did a change happen to where addresses are stored in the tables? Did I miss something? I’ve been searching this site and forums for a couple of days and haven’t found anything like it.

About a year ago the db structure and data storage went thru a major overhaul. It sounds as it the data was never migrated in the first Connections update you did after this change. The only way I can really verify this is to have a temp admin account and access to you phpMyAmin. If that is the case, I can force the migration, but on the entries when that you’ve added the address, you have duplicates, but they show only when being edited. At least at that point it would be easy to hit remove than having to re-add it.

ParticipantHi Steve,
I sent the information you requested several days ago. I forgot the phpMyAdmin link the first time around, but sent it in a reply to you at the helpdesk email address. Any idea when you can take a look?
thanks,
Helen

I did get the addresses in to the database so you do not have to add them manually again. But like I said, this did result in duplicate data when you edit an entry. Just click the remove button on any duplicated data. This duplicate data will not show up in the front end.
