GuestHi,
I have used your plugin on a clients website and all is working great except when someone creates a new user and sets up their directory they click ‘Add Entry’ and it then awaits to be moderated which is great but if then they click update again it then puts the entry live any way without me approving it.
I have tried changing the roles to ‘Edit Entry Moderated’ but I don’t want to moderate the entries every time someone updates it, I only want to moderate it when it first gets added.
I’m not sure if this is a bug or just a missing feature but any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Brad

When editing an entry, the logic does not take into account what the “add” permissions are for the user. That is why you’re seeing what you’re seeing. Connections doesn’t track previous approvals for an entry so this could be problematic to resolve.
I’m going to have to draw matrix of capability scenarios with their expected behavior…
User Capabilities Are: Add Entry + Edit Entry = On Add: Moderation Not Required => Entry Status Approved On Edit: Current Entry Status: Approved Moderation Not Required => Entry Status Approved Current Entry Status: Pending Moderation Not Required => Entry Status Approved User Capabilities Are: Add Entry Moderated + Edit Entry = On Add: Moderation Required => Entry Status Pending On Edit: Current Entry Status: Approved Moderation Not Required => Entry Status Approved Current Entry Status: Pending Moderation Required => Entry Status Pending User Capabilities Are: Add Entry Moderated + Edit Entry Moderated = On Add: Moderation Required => Entry Status Pending On Edit: Current Entry Status: Approved Moderation Required => Entry Status Pending Current Entry Status: Pending Moderation Required => Entry Status Pending User Capabilities Are: Add Entry + Edit Entry Moderated = On Add: Moderation Not Required => Entry Status Approved On Edit: Current Entry Status: Approved Moderation Required => Entry Status Pending Current Entry Status: Pending Moderation Required => Entry Status Pending
Does that look right?
I’ll run the testes to make sure I adhere to the above and release an update.

GuestHi,
How do you get “edit Entry” link?
I gave Edit Moderated permission to subscriber role, even when I am logged in there is no Edit link. I use cMap template.Thank you,
Deniz

I tracked down the exact issue and implemented a fix. It’ll be part of the forthcoming 0.8 release due out within weeks.
