I’m using your plugin on a MultiSite install with 100+ sites. I’m wondering if there’s a way to add a category that all sites have to use and then make that category uneditable.
sorry, no, the only thing I can think of accomplishing this would to be to create a filter that hooked in to the save/update entry filters to “inject” the required category before the save/update is processed. If this is something you can do … here’s some guidance.
The filters would be:
The filter passes one values, the entry object. you can use this object to get the entry ID which would be required to create a relationship between a category and an entry.
If you have the CSV Import extension, you could refer to the
class.entry-import-csv.php file lines 559 thru 609 on how to add the category if it doesn’t exist and create the relationship to the entry. You could use the same method, but just “hard code” your required category.
One thing though, this would stop someone from editing the category on the Connections : Category admin page, it just make sure that category is always assigned.
Hope that helps.
This is helpful. I’ll give it a shot. If I’m successful, I’ll report back with my code. Thanks!
