ParticipantWhen I try and add a new image to an existing entry, or try and remove the image that is already associated with the entry, I get a 403 forbidden page.
My permission, from what i can see is 755 for folders and 644 for files.
If I test the saving abilities, I can save within other plugins and within Connections Pro settings.
I dont know if you can read anything into this, but if I inspect the page I get the link image

One of my pages here
Any suggestions?

The JavaScript console error looks like it is being created by JetPack, not Connections. The error suggests that their is a coding error in the JSON reply causing a line not being ended correctly.
This should be completely unrelated to getting a 403 error when adding an image to a Connections entry. It’s been quite some time since I’ve seen any issues regarding folder/file permissions for images. Try setting the folder permissions for
connections-imagesto 767. Does that help? If it does, my best guess is the web host made a server config change that seems to affect images files being uploaded to the WordPressuploadsfolder, perhaps whitelisting WordPress as to not break it but will still break when plugins upload images. If that is the case, that would seem odd, cause Connections simply uses the WordPress core functions to upload images, nothing fancy or custom. Don’t build it if it built in, right? :)It just occurred to me…
The 4.7.1 security update to WordPress is causing users all sorts of trouble with uploading files. This would be the first where I heard images not uploading in Connections. And the first were server 403 errors were being thrown.
Any way, you can read more here:

In this thread the devs are suggesting users install this plugin:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/disable-real-mime-check/
Perhaps give this a plugin a try.
Let me know how things go.

ParticipantThanks Steven, I’ve tried a few things.
I disabled JSON API with Jetpack, changed permissions at
connections-images. I also installed the real mime check plugin. I also disabled Jetpack and tried a few other random things.None seemed to have worked.
I have done a temp solution and removed the images for that particular business and uploaded a couple of the new ones.(via cpanel)
What would you suggest to do next?

If you give me a temp WP admin login and FTP login, I’ll take a look. The login details can be posted here as a private reply.

Hmmm… I logged in and added a new entry with an image with no errors. I left it as an unlisted entry at the top of the list. It seems to work fine or did I misunderstand the issue?

Well, I fixed numero. I have never seen anything like this before. The URL for the foursquare link ended with a
?and it should not. I removed it and now it can be edited normally. For some reason, the only thing I can think of, is that this must have somehow been tripping up the security the web host has applied at the server level.I only figured this out by making a copy of numero and slowly removing data until info until it would save without the 403. I only decided to do this after making sure I could add and edit other entries without the error. So I determined it must have been something specific to that entry.
I guess you just started getting this error because the webhost made changes at the server level and has been tweaking them. All speculation of course but its the only thing I can think of that makes sense.
Hope this helps!

Participantoh wow, I would never of suspected that would cause the problem. Appreciate the time you have taken to look at my issue.
I’ll take a look at some of my other listings with foursquare, to see if they have
?and test/remove them.As always, consistent – awesome support.
