We’re updating from 0.7.2.6 to the current 0.7.9 of Connections.
We see this message:
NOTICE: The Connections directory home page has not been set. Please set it now on the Connections : Settings page under the General tab.
as well as these errors:
Warning: include_once(/mnt/stor10-wc1-ord1/812521/812552/www.airdriewheels.com/web/content/wp-content/plugins/connections/includes/admin/includes/inc.upgrade.php) [function.include-once]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /mnt/stor10-wc1-ord1/812521/812552/www.airdriewheels.com/web/content/wp-content/plugins/connections/includes/admin/class.menu.php on line 122 Warning: include_once() [function.include]: Failed opening '/mnt/stor10-wc1-ord1/812521/812552/www.airdriewheels.com/web/content/wp-content/plugins/connections/includes/admin/includes/inc.upgrade.php' for inclusion (include_path='.:/usr/share/pear:/usr/share/php') in /mnt/stor10-wc1-ord1/812521/812552/www.airdriewheels.com/web/content/wp-content/plugins/connections/includes/admin/class.menu.php on line 122 Fatal error: Call to undefined function connectionsShowUpgradePage() in /mnt/stor10-wc1-ord1/812521/812552/www.airdriewheels.com/web/content/wp-content/plugins/connections/includes/admin/class.menu.php on line 123
Every tab under the plugin shows this error – dashboard, manage, add entry, etc etc.
We tried resolving this by removing the 0.7.2.6 off the FTP and installing 0.7.9 as a fresh install. Same error.
We don’t want to lose the existing DB data from 0.7.2.6, if at all possible.
Is there a way to resolve this?
Thank you in advance.

How did you perform the update? Did you do anything “fancy”; meaning other than hitting the update link on the Plugins admin page?
Probably the best thing to do is to delete the entire
connectionsfolder from within the
../wp-content/plugins/folder and then using WordPress to install Connections again.09/23/2013 at 7:59 pm #269751
We tried both ways, as explained above.
a) performed the update via the update link – fatal error
b) completely removed the connections directory and files inside then installed a fresh installation of 0.7.9 – same fatal error09/23/2013 at 8:11 pm #269753
It would seem that WordPress is failing to properly update the plugin…
When you say you completely remove the
connectionsfolder and then install a fresh copy. Which method do you use to install the fresh copy? With WordPress or FTP?
WordPress is still functional otherwise with Connections active, yes? Can I get a temp admin account?09/23/2013 at 9:31 pm #269771This reply has been marked as private.09/23/2013 at 9:37 pm #269772This reply has been marked as private.09/23/2013 at 10:13 pm #269778
