ParticipantI purchased and installed the CSV import a couple of weeks ago and I do not see an Image option when setting the mapping fields. Is there a setting that I missed?

Please update to the newly released 1.4.3 version of the CVS Import extension which has the new feature of being able to import a photo or logo from a supplied URL.
Hope this helps!

ParticipantVersion 1.4.3 is the version I installed originally. Any other suggestions? I don’t see a field called “Image” in the list of fields below the Select CSV File box. I clicked on the download a text file link and I don’t see a field called Image. I also clicked on the Download an Excel file link and I don’t see a field called Image in the spreadsheet either. Any other suggestions?

Add a column to your CSV file called “Image URL” (the name is not really that important, just makes it easy to identify). In each row add the URL to the image to be imported. When you upload your CSV and proceed to the mapping step … map the CSV Image column to the “Image URL” in the drop down.
Hope that helps!

ParticipantThanks. The issue that I’m having is that there is no “Image URL” in the drop down for me to choose. It appears to be missing.

RE: The issue that I’m having is that there is no “Image URL” in the drop down for me to choose. It appears to be missing.
I reread you last reply and you said “Version 1.4.3 is the version I installed originally“, the version that has this feature is 1.4.4. I know in my reply I had incorrectly stated 1.4.3, but it is definitely the 1.4.4 you need to update to. If you activated your license, it’ll show up as an available update on your Plugins admin page.

ParticipantThanks. Updating to version 1.4.4 had the “Photo URL” field. I appreciate the help.
I’m having another issue every time I attempt to upload the file. The Progress bar displays with “Please wait…” and the blue bar extends the entire width of the Progress box and it never changes to “Import Completed” nor does the blue bar change width. When I open a new window and look at the page that the people are displaying on, I can tell that the update stops as no more records show up after refreshing several times and seeing new records show up. This happens on every upload attempt and it stops at random records. I’ve uploaded the csv to Google Sheets and downloaded as CSV with UTF-8. Any ideas?

Are the image you are importing, are they local or from another site? It’s possible is pulling from another server, PHP times out and stops processing. My best guess considering it occurs randomly. Can you please send me a copy of your CSV file? Also, can you give me an admin login and a screenshot of the mapping you are using so I can replicate and debug? The details can be posted here as a private reply.

I tested importing on my test site and it imported fine. It did take longer to import due to the images but that was expected.
I suspect that the web host is either preventing the increasing of the PHP max execution limit or hard limits it to some amount. This is something Connections and other plugins due dynamically to prevent these types of issues.
The import happens in batches of 100. Another user had a similar issue and I hard to force a limit of only 10 per batch. I suspect doing the same for you will help.
As for the email, use any random fake email address since this is just for a temp admin account which you’ll delete after we’re done. Just create a username and password with a fake email. Post the login back here as a private reply.
